Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process incoming and outgoing invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Verify and record transactions, and assist with collections when required.
- General Ledger Entries: Accurately record financial transactions in the general ledger and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Data Entry: Enter financial data into the company’s accounting software and databases with a high level of accuracy.
- Bank Reconciliations: Assist in reconciling bank statements and resolving any discrepancies.
- Expense Reporting: Review and process employee expense reports, verifying supporting documents and compliance with company policies.
- Financial Records Maintenance: Organise and maintain financial records, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible for the accounting team.
- Reporting Support: Assist in preparing financial reports and statements, contributing to monthly and year-end closing processes.
- Auditing Assistance: Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing required documentation and support.
- Compliance and Regulation: Stay informed about relevant accounting regulations and compliance requirements to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance to the accounting department as needed.
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma or equivalent; additional experience in finance is a plus.
- Previous Experience: Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word).
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial documentation.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments professionally.
