Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process incoming and outgoing invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Verify and record transactions, and assist with collections when required.
  2. General Ledger Entries: Accurately record financial transactions in the general ledger and maintain appropriate documentation.
  3. Data Entry: Enter financial data into the company’s accounting software and databases with a high level of accuracy.
  4. Bank Reconciliations: Assist in reconciling bank statements and resolving any discrepancies.
  5. Expense Reporting: Review and process employee expense reports, verifying supporting documents and compliance with company policies.
  6. Financial Records Maintenance: Organise and maintain financial records, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible for the accounting team.
  7. Reporting Support: Assist in preparing financial reports and statements, contributing to monthly and year-end closing processes.
  8. Auditing Assistance: Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing required documentation and support.
  9. Compliance and Regulation: Stay informed about relevant accounting regulations and compliance requirements to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  10. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance to the accounting department as needed.

 

Requirements:

  1. Education: Diploma or equivalent; additional experience in finance is a plus.
  2. Previous Experience: Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
  3. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word).
  4. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial documentation.
  5. Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments professionally.
  6. Time Management: Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  7. Problem-Solving: Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to handle basic accounting discrepancies.
